6 years in business

6 years in business means that we have pivoted many, many times in order to be here. I am not going to lie, there were days when I was ready to close our doors. Even this year, the idea of being a full-time mom and running MIGA seemed daunting and outright impossible to do. But here we are.

There have been many iterations of MIGA. First there was MIGA, which was custom-made to our volunteers and condition-specific. That was our first collection, inspired by burn survivors that we funded through our 2018 Kickstarter. Second, we had the collection where I worked closely with 5 women who all had very different diagnoses, from ulcerative colitis to acne inversa, to tell their stories through design and in the canvas bags that come with each suit. For this collection, we produced upwards of 800 units which were ready by the time we were in COVID. You can imagine how difficult it was as a small business to finally be in stock when the whole world was shut down with no vacation insight.

Last year, we did the ally collection, a push to create swimsuits that appealed to a greater audience as a way to continue to raise awareness about the disability community while combating ableism. If we weren’t so steadfast to our mission we would not be here.

What I have learned is that a good product will sell. A product has to appeal to the customer through the eye first, our bright neon pink Ally bikini top comes to mind. Then, everything else falls into place. One of our biggest pivots was when we realized our brand needed to target the mass market in order to fulfill our mission to combat ableism. I do not need to tell members of the disability community about the horrors of ableism, they know them too well. I need to engage with those that do not know how inaccessible our world is in order to fulfill our mission.

I never thought I would move away from a direct to consumer model to working with retailers like Target and Macy’s. I thought that in order to have a big impact I could do it all by myself and I was wrong. As a small business it is nearly impossible to get eye balls for a reasonable price, Google and Facebook are cost prohibitive, especially during the pandemic. So here we are working with two partners that we believe Can and will take our business to the next level. My therapist recently said that we are in expansion mode. And although I still cannot believe it, that is where we are today.

WHAT WE ARE

WHAT WE ARE NOT

  • Against ableism
  • Sustainable
  • US made
  • Transparent
  • Always willing to learn
  • Inspiration porn
  • Fast fashion
  • Made abroad
  • Shady
  • Rigid

Investing in cryptocurrency can be a double-edged sword. While the potential for significant gains is enticing, the risks are equally substantial. Many individuals, drawn by the allure of quick profits, have fallen victim to scams that prey on their desire for financial growth. I, too, found myself ensnared in this web of deception, losing over $82,050 to a fraudulent broker, Financiale. My experience serves as a cautionary tale for anyone looking to venture into the world of crypto trading. my foray into cryptocurrency seemed promising. The market was booming, and with each successful trade, my confidence grew. However, my optimism blinded me to the signs of trouble. Financiale, which presented itself as a reputable trading platform, turned out to be a sophisticated scam. I watched helplessly as my funds dwindled, realizing too late that I had fallen victim to a scheme designed to exploit inexperienced traders like myself. The frustration and despair of losing such a significant amount of money were overwhelming. I tried to recover my funds through various channels, but my efforts were met with roadblocks and dead ends. It was a challenging period, as the pressure to recover my losses only compounded my stress. Many hours were spent researching strategies and potential recovery options, but each attempt felt increasingly futile. Just when I was about to lose hope, I came across a recommendation for Cyberpunk Programmers. Skeptical but desperate, I reached out to them, and that decision changed everything. MRS. Personally, I think it’s a little sad that some people give up on finding their lost money, passwords, or cryptocurrency when there is so much support available. when a wide range of professionals are willing to assist you in obtaining what is rightfully yours. I’ve spoken with friends who are going through comparable circumstances but are too proud or shy to ask for assistance. I’ve always believed that you should receive assistance if everyone is receiving it. Although I prefer to remain anonymous, I feel compelled to relay this crucial information: hackers are there for a purpose. to assist you when officials or the police are unable to. So far, I have tried Synack Hackers, and I have to say, they have not let me down. This hacker saved me the $240,000 USDT that I would have otherwise lost. I was sadly let down by the police department, which is why I decided to look for hackers. So, beloved, get assistance. If you’re interested in working with my hackers, here is their email: (synackhack{@}tech{-}center{.}com)
